History

Bluegrass! Cajun! February in Wisconsin!?! Doesn’t seem to go together, does it? Well that was the general consensus as we said our goodbye’s at the final summer festival of ’93. Knowing that we wouldn’t see those folks for another 8 month’s spawned a simple idea. If someone could throw a winter party to bring everyone together at least once throughout the long, cold winter, it would sure make all of that snow more bearable. Hence, the Mid-Winter, Wishin’ It Were Summer Bluegrass Festival was born.
